Base Salary
$62k - $91k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance high-throughput distributed applications running on Linux using C, Assembler, Prolog, and related technologies.
- Support a mission-critical real-time transaction-processing platform operating in a 24x7 production environment.
- Perform performance analysis, troubleshooting, debugging, tuning, and optimization across single-node, multi-node, and cloud-based systems.
- Design and maintain testing frameworks, engineering automation, build automation, and software delivery pipelines.
- Develop tools and infrastructure to test, monitor, and improve large-scale distributed systems.
- Participate in software design discussions, code reviews, documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Conduct incident analysis and root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with product, QA, infrastructure, operations, architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of software engineering experience with expertise in systems-level development.
- Hands-on experience with C, Assembler, Prolog, or other low-level programming languages.
- Experience supporting high-performance distributed systems and real-time transaction-processing applications.
- Strong experience with Linux-based development and production environments.
- Experience with application performance analysis, debugging, tuning, and optimization.
- Knowledge of algorithms, computer architecture, data structures, and system performance concepts.
- Experience designing and supporting build automation, software delivery processes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with unit, integration, and system testing methodologies.
- Experience using source control systems and collaborative software development practices.
- Preferred experience with cloud-based infrastructure, distributed computing, financial services or capital markets, C++, C#, automation frameworks, developer productivity tools, testing platforms, secure software development, application security, enterprise-scale production environments, and developer mentoring.
