Base Salary
$144k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver secure GenAI, agentic, backend, data-platform, and cloud solutions from prototype through production.
- Define standards and scaling patterns for agent orchestration, MCP services, deployment, monitoring, access control, guardrails, evaluation, observability, cost, latency, and reliability.
- Provide technical oversight to multiple development squads and coordinate solution leads, architecture reviews, roadmaps, standards, and cross-squad dependencies.
- Design public, proprietary, and third-party data onboarding and integration solutions, including reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud storage and compute architectures.
- Develop and manage Kubernetes-deployed MCP endpoints, metadata logs, asset templates, technical documentation, governance, access controls, and compliance controls.
- Translate business requirements into reusable backend services and data-platform solutions across AWS and Azure.
- Conduct proofs of concept, define effective MVP scopes, evaluate emerging cloud and AI technologies, and validate platform enhancements.
- Act as a technical liaison with internal stakeholders, external data vendors, strategic partners, product owners, and engineering teams.
- Mentor teams, facilitate alignment, communicate architecture decisions, and help prioritize business problems and architectural work.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software or platform engineering experience, including data- and AI-focused roles, and 10+ years designing business-critical applications in multi-region or regulated environments.
- 7+ years as a hands-on developer, preferably in multitenant or SaaS environments, with demonstrated Solution Architect experience and reference-implementation development.
- At least 1 year of exposure to LLM-based business applications or agentic software development lifecycles.
- Strong backend programming experience, preferably with Python, plus SQL, API and microservice design, distributed systems, and data integration patterns.
- Expertise with agent patterns and LLM concepts including RAG, vector or graph databases, tool use, planning, memory, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience building and managing MCPs, including registries, access control, versioning, performance, and cost controls.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms, enterprise platform management, CI/CD, runtime monitoring, incident response, containerization, serverless systems, and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and working with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, governance, catalogs, lineage, and data quality.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, influence, analytical thinking, structured problem solving, prioritization, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude or Cursor for safe enterprise development.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
