Responsibilities
- Build software for delivered Boeing systems using modern programming techniques, tools, and languages.
- Perform architecture, requirements, development, integration, and testing activities.
- Contribute to project execution plans, estimation, and planning.
- Improve software engineering processes and the quality, safety, and reliability of products and services.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations.
- Support a positive staff culture and team motivation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in modern C++.
- Practical knowledge of the Linux operating system.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- English proficiency.
- Associate-level candidates require 2+ years of applicable experience.
- Experienced-level candidates require 5+ years of applicable experience.
- Preferred qualifications include embedded Linux, Linux networking, x86 and ARM architectures, another programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, and collaboration on international projects.
- Additional assets include software development experience for avionics or complex electronics products and experience with Yocto or OpenWRT.
