Responsibilities
- Own technical direction and architecture for the Promos mobile domain while aligning with the shared React Native platform.
- Build reliable promotional experiences across mobile and web, including offer discovery, eligibility, activation, state changes, and rewards.
- Guide multi-team architecture modernization, sequencing, dependencies, risks, delivery dates, and technical tradeoffs.
- Define and improve client contracts, experimentation, analytics, attribution, CRM, deep links, push notifications, identity, and consent handling.
- Remain hands-on with complex client, API, and platform problems and lead diagnosis using Sentry, logs, traces, and metrics.
- Set engineering standards for code review, testing, CI/CD, accessibility, security, observability, performance, privacy, store delivery, rollouts, and incident readiness.
- Drive responsible AI-assisted development and identify safe AI applications with appropriate evaluation, privacy, security, and human-accountability controls.
- Mentor Senior and Staff Engineers and contribute to technical hiring, capability planning, career development, and organizational strategy.
Requirements
- Typically 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years building production React Native applications.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Deep expertise in React Native architecture, React, TypeScript, strict type safety, frontend platforms, shared libraries, or design systems.
- Strong iOS and Android knowledge covering native APIs, debugging, performance, security, deployment, store delivery, and native module bridges.
- Experience with REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, resilience, caching, offline behavior, state management, MobX, and TanStack React Query or comparable technologies.
- Experience architecting shared mobile platforms across applications, brands, regions, environments, and delivery teams, including configuration and feature-flagged rollout with LaunchDarkly or a comparable platform.
- Experience with authentication, deep links, attribution, analytics, CRM, push notifications, privacy, and consent integrations.
- Strong judgment across testing, observability, CI/CD, feature management, performance, accessibility, privacy, and secure development for reliability- and compliance-critical systems.
- Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted software development and understanding of prompt/context design, evaluation, hallucination risk, privacy, security, and responsible human review.
- Record of shaping technical and product strategy and delivering ambiguous, multi-team initiatives tied to measurable customer and business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, proactive leadership, executive communication, productive conflict resolution, decision-making under uncertainty, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred experience includes sportsbook, casino, online gaming, fintech, regulated digital industries, back-office applications, MSAL or comparable SSO, role-based access, audit trails, workflow-heavy interfaces, monorepos, shared tooling, design systems, developer platforms, or production AI practices.
