Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure across physical, virtual, and container environments.
- Develop and maintain automation for server provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and physical and virtual machine image deployment.
- Architect and implement infrastructure changes across multiple platforms to resolve issues and modernize technology processes.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Drive complex programs, technical standards, governance, and automation across the enterprise.
- Lead adoption of responsible AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident or root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation standards for AI-assisted engineering outputs and coach senior engineers and leads on compliant usage.
- Translate technical requirements and results into business language and present to leadership teams.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
- Advanced knowledge of distributed systems running Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, and underlying hardware and hypervisors.
- Extensive experience in software engineering domains such as networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
- Proficiency with software technologies and programming languages such as C#, .NET, Ansible, PowerShell, or Python.
- Extensive enterprise software engineering experience integrating heterogeneous environments and creating, documenting, and automating test harnesses and results.
- Deep technical knowledge across multiple domains and cloud infrastructure technologies, including operation across and migration between public and private clouds.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred experience managing budgets, Windows Server Clusters, infrastructure virtualization with VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM, and chaos engineering with Gremlin.
