Responsibilities

Develop and operate end-to-end product features across the technology stack, from idea through production.
Build and scale central product features using Ruby on Rails.
Design and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP, deployment tools, and CI/CD environments.
Scale generative and media-processing pipelines while balancing throughput, memory usage, and per-asset processing costs.
Develop robust asynchronous workflows using queues, retries, idempotency, and rate limits.
Build and continuously improve monitoring, logging, and tracing to identify performance bottlenecks and resolve incidents efficiently.
Own production operations for your code, including deployments, monitoring, incident response, infrastructure, security, secrets management, and dependency maintenance.

Several years of experience developing web products holistically and successfully bringing them into production.
Deep practical experience with Ruby on Rails and developing, scaling, and maintaining full-stack applications.
Strong experience with asynchronous systems such as queues, retries, rate limits, and webhooks.
Experience processing large data volumes and media files, including efficient memory management.
Experience taking responsibility for code in production, including cloud environments, deployments, monitoring, incident response, and pragmatic infrastructure as code.
Good understanding of security and best practices, particularly least-privilege concepts, secrets handling, and dependency maintenance.
Nice to have: experience orchestrating generative-AI workflows, cloud cost engineering, image- or media-intensive applications, platform migrations, or public work samples.
