Responsibilities
- Plan, build, ship, operate, and support software services at scale.
- Drive the technical implementation of complex projects and own services throughout their full lifecycle.
- Act as a first responder when production services break and improve service resilience and reliability.
- Shape requirements with product managers and identify underlying business value.
- Contribute to work breakdown, code review, testing, source control, and build processes.
- Mentor and coach engineers through constructive feedback and engineering best practices.
- Evolve listing and inventory flows connecting Consumer and Dealer marketplaces.
- Strengthen services supporting key customer and commercial journeys and improve data exchange services across engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- Strong C#/.NET backend engineering experience.
- Experience building, shipping, and operating cloud software, ideally on AWS.
- End-to-end software development lifecycle ownership and ability to shape requirements.
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing needs.
- Solid SQL and data-storage skills across relational and non-relational databases, such as Postgres and DynamoDB.
- Experience with web technologies and a frontend framework such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte is nice to have.
- Machine Learning or AI experience is nice to have.
- Experience with event-based systems using queues such as RabbitMQ, SNS+SQS, or PubSub is nice to have.
- Full-time Australian working rights and successful completion of a National Police Record check are required.
