Base Salary
$123k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across K2 Space.
- Create and evolve applications that improve spacecraft design, build, and operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and business partners to design efficient solutions.
- Build prototypes to test concepts and validate technical constraints.
- Own full-lifecycle feature development from inception to delivery.
- Contribute to software features and bug fixes.
- Articulate tradeoffs in engineering options to senior engineers.
- Drive customer adoption and improve product usability.
- Develop solutions with minimal oversight based on communicated priorities.
- Balance strong opinions on tech stack with openness to new data.
- Mentor team members and promote good culture and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or a STEM discipline, or 1-3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in full stack development, platform engineering, or API development.
- 1+ years of experience with AWS.
- 1+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as GH Actions, Jenkins, or Gitlab CI/CD.
- 1+ years of experience with Git.
- 1+ years of experience with Docker.
- 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
- Experience with static typed programming languages such as C#.NET, Go, or Java.
- 1+ years of experience with structured databases like PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
- 1+ years of experience with unstructured databases like NoSQL or MongoDB.
- Experience with software engineering best practices.
- Experience with REST API or gRPC.
- Experience with binary management platforms like JFrog Artifactory or AWS CodeArtifact.
- Experience with infrastructure orchestration tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
