Responsibilities
- Analyse new requirements, conduct impact analysis, design technical solutions, and identify implementation tasks.
- Architect, design, and code new software functionality.
- Maintain existing election-related software and investigate, troubleshoot, test, and fix software problems.
- Provide third-line application support and implement bug fixes against agreed service levels.
- Conduct peer code reviews, unit testing, documentation, code commenting, and version-control activities.
- Ensure software quality and compliance with corporate test processes and the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and guide team members.
- Communicate technical details affecting requirements fulfilment and deliver work to agreed deadlines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with .NET Core and C#.
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC using C#/.NET.
- Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, AJAX, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with SQL Server databases.
- Experience with React or another client-side JavaScript framework.
- Experience with Web API, WCF, and web services.
- Experience with xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest unit-testing frameworks.
- Ability to work autonomously, communicate effectively, collaborate with a team, and learn independently.
- Ability to guide junior team members and deliver commitments on time and to a high standard.
- Effective and security-focused use of AI coding agents.
- Ability to travel to the London office at least once per month.
