Responsibilities
- Lead a feature team in understanding requirements, refining stories, designing solutions, implementing features, testing, releasing, and supporting software in production.
- Design, implement, refactor, and maintain reliable software across user interfaces, services, and databases.
- Define and evolve component architecture and contribute to department-wide and bank-wide architectural decisions.
- Develop rapid prototypes and use Spec-Driven Development, Behavior-Driven Development, and Test-Driven Development practices.
- Build, test, and release software through highly automated Continuous Delivery pipelines with short lead times.
- Provide on-call and third-line production support when required.
- Support a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin with an understanding of object-oriented and functional programming.
- Experience building data engineering solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, PHP, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience setting up keystores, generating SSL certificates, and working with gateways and Apigee.
- Experience working in Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or Extreme Programming.
- Experience with automated testing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, Event Sourcing, microservices, and iterative architecture practices.
- Strong API design and inter-service communication experience, including GraphQL, synchronous communication, asynchronous communication, and eventing.
- Experience with high-performance SQL data access and SQL scripting.
- Experience with Oracle 10G or higher, Liquibase database automation, and PostgreSQL schema modeling, performance, and low-downtime schema changes.
- Ability to read and safely evolve unfamiliar legacy PHP codebases.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible judgment to data and AI outputs.
