Responsibilities
- Support customers in commercializing automotive products using Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms.
- Answer customer questions and troubleshoot camera issues involving QNX/Linux kernel drivers, AIS/CamX/QCX, and Android HAL/framework.
- Analyze customer requirements and propose or implement software features.
- Port and debug camera software across camera application processors, ISPs, serializer/deserializer bridges, and MIPI CSI architectures.
- Use debugging tools such as GDB and JTAG debuggers.
- Create technical documentation and work with software management systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with 3+ years; or a PhD with 2+ years.
- 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
- Proficiency in C/C++ coding and experience with assembly.
- Knowledge of QNX, Linux, Android, multithreading, data structures, algorithms, application processor architecture, multicore systems, DSPs, ARM virtualization, and SMMU.
- Knowledge of camera hardware blocks and software architecture, including camera application processors, ISPs, serializer/deserializer bridges, MIPI CSI, kernel drivers, Device Tree, AIS/CamX/QCX, camera HAL, and V4L2.
- Experience with software design and implementation, open-source development, GDB or JTAG debugging, and tools such as Git, P4, and Gerrit.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and technical documentation skills.
- Preferred experience includes Qualcomm Camera Architecture AIS/CamX/QCX, QNX, virtualization extensions, ADAS, camera tuning, post-processing, and technical lead project abilities.
