Responsibilities
- Lead and support complex data and analytics transformation initiatives for financial-services clients.
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-driven data pipelines, analytical models, reusable components, integrations, and automation frameworks.
- Refactor Python codebases to improve performance, scalability, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise data standards.
- Apply Python to data analysis, data modeling, data transformation, reporting, analytics, and AI/ML use cases.
- Translate stakeholder and business needs into production-ready Python solutions.
- Produce technical documentation, data artifacts, and analysis outputs.
- Contribute to the growth of the Hong Kong and global Data Practices, including cloud, AI, and machine-learning capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Python development experience within financial services.
- Advanced proficiency in Python for data processing and analytics, including pandas, NumPy, and related frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data governance standards.
- Solid experience working as an individual contributor within SDLC and Agile delivery environments.
- Experience with FIS tools, including Prophet and PMCS, covering configuration, runs, outputs, and integration.
- Experience automating tests and quality checks in CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Immediate availability is highly preferred.
