Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, monitor, and improve agentic AI workflows, including multi-step agents, tool and function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration, prompts, evaluations, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
- Connect AI agents to customer data sources, APIs, systems of record, permissions, tools, and operational guardrails.
- Lead customer implementations end to end, including scoping, configuration, integration, validation, go-live, adoption, and transition to steady-state support.
- Build API integrations, data handoffs, automations, and internal tooling to connect Altana’s platform to customer workflows.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customer working sessions, demonstrations, technical deep dives, requirements discovery, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate engineering, data science, product, and customer success teams; escalate blockers and feed recurring customer insights back into product development.
- Own implementation roadmaps, write requirements and acceptance criteria, prioritize delivery work, and define measurable implementation success.
- Create reusable playbooks, templates, and documentation to improve the efficiency and repeatability of future implementations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of customer-facing technical delivery experience in implementation, engineering, professional services, technical program management, or hands-on product management.
- Demonstrated experience shipping complex technical projects with external stakeholders under real deadlines.
- Working proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language for reading code, writing and debugging scripts, building integrations, and shipping small features.
- Fluency with SQL and the ability to explore and validate data independently.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
- Hands-on experience building or deploying agentic AI systems, including LLM-powered agents, tool and function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, or multi-agent orchestration.
- Skill in prompt engineering and agent evaluation, including diagnosing failures and improving production reliability.
- Familiarity with agent frameworks and protocols such as MCP and LangChain, plus APIs, Git-based workflows, and cloud-hosted systems.
- Working knowledge of data pipelines, data modeling, and ML systems sufficient to scope work and collaborate credibly with engineering teams.
- Strong communication, coordination, product judgment, ambiguity tolerance, and preference for automation and repeatability.
- Preferred experience includes global trade, supply chain, customs, trade compliance, enterprise software implementation, internal tooling, formal product management, Spark, Databricks, or large-scale data processing.
