Responsibilities
- Support deployment and operation of data workloads on AWS, including S3, Athena, Glue, Kafka, and Iceberg tables.
- Ensure reliability and performance of batch and streaming data pipelines and processing jobs.
- Manage DEV, TEST, and PROD environments, including configuration, reproducibility, versioning, and rollback strategies.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, SLA support, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Apply secure deployment, access-management, secrets-handling, auditability, and regulatory-compliance practices.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Reporting Engineers, and Data Platform teams to promote DevOps practices across the reporting domain.
Requirements
- Experience with DevOps practices in data or cloud environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including S3, Glue, Athena, or similar services.
- Experience supporting Spark-based workloads, including PySpark, and streaming systems such as Kafka.
- Understanding of modern data lake technologies such as Iceberg or similar table formats.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based pipelines.
- Familiarity with Python-based services such as Django or similar technologies.
- Understanding of monitoring, observability, and incident-response practices.
- Awareness of data governance, security, and regulatory constraints in financial environments.
- Fluent spoken and written English for Pan-Baltic collaboration.
