Base Salary
$115k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the conceptualization and documentation of new ideas and product enhancements.
- Build and extend interactive React applications used by veterinary purchasers, hospital groups, and animal health manufacturers.
- Add effective test coverage and build reusable components for the broader engineering team.
- Implement new features in React Native applications.
- Design, implement, maintain, and upgrade systems and features across the technology stack.
- Work with the CTO, engineering team, and other functions to evolve Vetcove's platform and products.
- Work in a fully remote environment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably building web applications.
- Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Computer Science.
- High proficiency in at least one industry-common programming language and familiarity with others.
- Experience building a successful production application with a modern web framework.
- Ability to design features around data models with attention to accuracy, security, and performance.
- Experience working with databases and analyzing queries for optimization.
- Fluency with JavaScript features and its prototyped and functional programming characteristics.
- Good software testing habits.
- Experience with a backend language, an ORM, and writing API endpoints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptability, and ability to manage concurrent responsibilities.
- Strong customer focus and a collaborative team mentality.
- Startup experience is a plus.
- Comfort working remotely.
