Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and optimize cryptographic algorithms and primitives including encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and key exchanges for YubiKeys and YubiHSMs.
- Follow research on classical cryptographic algorithms such as RSA and ECC and post-quantum algorithms such as ML-DSA and ML-KEM.
- Address side-channel attacks, including electromagnetic, power, and timing analysis, and implement mitigations.
Requirements
- Ability to follow research in cryptography.
- Good understanding of classical symmetric and asymmetric cryptography and post-quantum cryptography.
- Knowledge of side-channel attacks and their mitigations.
- A disciplined approach to writing correct and highly efficient code.
- Preferred: low-level programming experience with C and Assembly.
- Preferred: experience with embedded architectures and tuning algorithms for resource-constrained environments.
- Preferred: knowledge of fault-injection attacks.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or similar laboratory equipment.
