Responsibilities
- Build strategic equity derivatives trading infrastructure within an eight-person development team.
- Analyze, redesign, and rewrite existing Excel/VBA trading and operations tools using Java or Kotlin.
- Manage projects end to end, including requirements gathering, development, UAT, deployment, and post-deployment user support.
- Improve controls across equity derivatives trading and operations tools.
- Collaborate regularly with structuring and sales desks on local, global, tactical, and semi-strategic platforms.
- Propose technical solutions and communicate with both technical and business audiences.
Requirements
- Excellent AI-enabled development experience using object-oriented or functional programming styles in Java and Kotlin.
- Proven track record of writing high-quality code and following modern development practices.
- Experience working in a complex global development environment.
- Ability to own the full project lifecycle and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Motivation to understand the equity derivatives business.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Experience with equity derivatives products, including derivative pricing or risk management.
- Experience using NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Up-to-date knowledge of event-driven architecture and web services.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is advantageous.
