Responsibilities
- Build, design, and implement scalable, fault-tolerant big-data platforms processing terabytes of data for customer analytics.
- Develop backend services using Java, REST APIs, JDBC, and AWS.
- Build and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Snowflake.
- Architect real-time data-processing workflows and automation frameworks.
- Develop GenAI-powered agents for analytics, operations, and data-enrichment use cases.
- Integrate LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, and Mistral into services for query understanding, summarization, and decision support.
- Manage GenAI workflows involving prompt engineering, fine-tuning, vector embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Lead end-to-end feature development, debug distributed systems, and participate in code and design reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams on analytics-platform features, availability, and scalability.
- Support customer issues through email or JIRA and provide fixes, patches, and updates.
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, user-story management, and work-item prioritization.
Requirements
- 1–5+ years of coding experience in Java and backend development.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent degree.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and architectural specifications.
- Experience with Scala, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Snowflake, large-scale data pipelines, real-time systems, and data warehouses.
- Experience building GenAI applications with LLM integration, agent orchestration libraries, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG.
- Experience developing and deploying scalable, production-grade AI or data systems.
- Ability to lead end-to-end feature development and debug distributed systems.
- Experience applying software-engineering practices across the software development lifecycle, including coding standards and code reviews.
- Ability to learn technologies independently and work toward stretch goals in an innovative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal, written, technical communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
