Responsibilities
- Guide engineers in applying security architecture across microservices, mobile applications, and AI-driven products.
- Perform application security design reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, penetration testing, static and dynamic analysis, and fuzzing.
- Develop SSDLC tooling and automation frameworks for secure software delivery.
- Mentor engineering teams and security champions on secure coding, data governance, and AI-related security risks.
- Help teams identify and remediate vulnerabilities before production and lead reactive incident response when required.
- Research emerging attack vectors affecting AI technologies, data pipelines, LLM systems, and traditional applications.
- Drive improvements to N26’s Product Security Program and provide strategic security guidance.
Requirements
- Expertise in software engineering with one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Python or Go.
- Extensive experience with threat modeling, security testing, application analysis, and emerging GenAI and LLM technologies.
- Experience building automation to support the Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
- Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Deep knowledge of cloud and networking security, web application security, mobile security, AI-driven product security, and data governance.
- Strong understanding of microservice architectures and scalable cloud software.
- Expertise in static and dynamic code analysis, fuzzing, secure coding, and vulnerability identification.
- Knowledge of security standards including the OWASP Top 10.
- Ability to balance security risks with product innovation and communicate practical solutions effectively.
