Software Engineering Specialist
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
- Own end-to-end delivery including requirements, design, implementation, automated testing, performance, deployment, and documentation.
- Design reliable, scalable, and secure services in AWS or Azure and containerize applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Work with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Implement observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting, and drive operational excellence.
- Apply secure development practices, including SAST, DAST, and remediation of security findings.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into product features and developer productivity where appropriate.
- Mentor and coach engineers, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate with product, UX, and stakeholders.
- Use CI/CD and automation tools to support software delivery.
- Build and maintain front-end experiences with ReactJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript as needed.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Deep expertise in C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core Web API, MVC, and Entity Framework.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience with ReactJS and modern front-end development.
- Strong SQL skills across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Experience with unit, integration, and UI testing frameworks.
- Cloud experience with AWS or Azure.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application containerization.
- Proven ability to lead initiatives and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and Groovy for DevOps and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of Splunk, Prometheus, ELK Stack, JMeter, SAST, and DAST is preferred.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript and practical experience integrating AI/ML capabilities are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, estimation, documentation, and independent delivery skills.
- Awareness of Lean, Agile, XP, continuous integration, technology trends, customer value propositions, and the impact of technology choices.
