Responsibilities
- Lead architecture design for scalable, extensible, and reliable systems.
- Align technology roadmaps with leadership and stakeholders.
- Build productivity tools using Claude and Windsurf.
- Remove technical blockers and simplify complex problems into actionable solutions.
- Write code as needed to guide teams and support high-priority initiatives.
- Identify business and technology opportunities and evaluate and adopt new technologies.
- Recruit, mentor, and grow engineering talent.
- Collaborate with geographically distributed engineering teams to build reliable systems at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience building and operating backend services and web applications.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, storage, data processing, and server technologies.
- Strong coding skills in Java and Spring Framework, including object-oriented design.
- Experience developing and operating services on AWS.
- Experience with NoSQL and relational or columnar databases.
- Preferred: Git, CI/CD automation, Agile methodologies, code quality improvement, and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Passion for and inclination toward reliability and observability.
