Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain domain-specific languages used in the compilation pipeline.
- Develop QuEra’s compiler pipeline and infrastructure for hardware execution using the Kirin toolchain.
- Collaborate with experimental and computational physicists and the hardware control team to plan and develop hardware features for quantum error-correction algorithms.
- Deliver language and hardware features including new gates, atom-shuttling instructions, and low-level pulse-control capabilities.
- Support customers with usage questions and technical issues.
- Create documentation for the Bloqade SDK and Kirin compiler infrastructure.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or Physics focused on quantum computation, quantum architecture, quantum programming languages and compilation, or quantum physics, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with Python semantics, Python type hints, and CPython APIs.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including version control, code review, testing, CI/CD, logging, profiling, debugging, and documentation.
- Preferred: experience with static single-assignment intermediate-representation compilers and compiler engineering using LLVM or MLIR.
- Preferred: experience in technical writing, programming-language and compiler design, quantum physics, quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, quantum compilation, quantum-computation education content, and open-source collaboration.
