Responsibilities
- Design and architect secure, scalable technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Design, build, and deploy production applications combining user business logic, Stripe best practices, and user-facing interfaces.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including technical teams and executives.
- Help direct Stripe’s new Forward Deployed Engineering function and contribute to technical projects.
- Work directly with users to understand challenges and requirements and co-develop solutions.
- Develop tooling, frameworks, and best practices that scale impact across customer accounts.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional, hands-on full-stack development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Ruby, Go, or Java.
- Experience with backend infrastructure and building systems that scale.
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and deploy production applications.
- Ability to prototype rapidly while maintaining appropriate quality standards.
- Familiarity with containerized applications and object-oriented programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand the product and business side of development.
- Preferred: experience as a software consultant.
- Preferred: strong command of distributed systems, API design, and data modeling.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI APIs and AI code-generation tools.
- Preferred: experience delivering technical solutions in enterprise environments with measurable outcomes.
- Preferred: ability to handle ambiguity and learn new technologies, frameworks, and tools across client environments.
