Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to troubleshoot issues and answer technical questions.
- Analyze bug reports, reproduce issues, determine root causes, and provide fixes.
- Design new features and define approaches and patterns for solving technical problems.
- Write software and relevant unit test cases.
- Contribute to end-to-end automated testing for new changes.
- Review other developers’ designs and code.
- Improve software development practices and engineering efficiency.
- Write infrastructure code using Terraform and Helm charts.
- Support a cloud-native MLOps platform for deploying and monitoring machine learning models and providing statistical analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a similar software engineering role.
- Understanding of microservices patterns and large-scale software design.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Bash, file systems, command-line tools, logging, and Linux file permissions.
- Experience with Go, Python, C++, or Java with knowledge of the Spring framework.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of relational database design.
- Understanding of Terraform and Helm.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including SSL, UDP/TCP, firewalls, and reverse proxies.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a customer-facing role.
- Preferred: experience with gRPC, Scala, Akka, Druid Database, scikit-learn, PyTorch, NumPy, and pandas.
