Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and management of CTS, VTS, and GTS testing across Esper Foundation platforms.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve Android test failures in collaboration with other engineers.
- Maintain documentation for test cases, execution results, and defect analysis.
- Contribute to development and customization of the Esper Foundation for Android at multiple levels of the stack.
- Own selected Foundation components technically and serve as a subject matter expert for the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of software development or testing experience with a strong focus on Android platform development, AOSP, and Android test suites.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience with Git or similar version control systems.
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin for Android development and understanding of C/C++ for low-level programming and system integration.
- Experience with Android SDK, Android NDK, and AOSP build systems.
- Knowledge of Android security architecture and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes Android on x86 hardware, GSIs, LineageOS or other open-source organizations, CTS-compliant Android platforms, GMS-certified devices, Android Enterprise features, device management APIs, Android apps, or enterprise technology.
