Responsibilities
- Plan, design, prototype, and implement features for Fleetio’s Marketplace offering.
- Build functionality for fleets and shops to schedule, complete, approve, and pay for vehicle and equipment service.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Quality Engineers, and other Engineers to deliver high-quality software.
- Contribute to collaborative feature design, architecture, development planning, and technical feasibility research.
- Write well-tested, maintainable, and performant code and review peers’ code for quality and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
- 2+ years of experience with ReactJS and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Expertise integrating with external systems, APIs, and webhooks, as well as modeling data and optimizing query performance.
- Experience solving challenging architectural problems and using unit testing frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include marketplace development, leading small teams or projects, building LLM-enabled products, fleet management industry knowledge, and developing APIs for consumer or mobile applications.
