Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable automated test suites in Playwright using maintainable design patterns.
- Adapt and extend the existing automation framework for enterprise platform programs rather than rebuilding it from scratch.
- Drive quality across UI and API testing, including end-to-end test coverage and API validation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines so coverage runs continuously on pull requests.
- Partner with architects, developers, product managers, delivery leadership, stakeholders, and enterprise partners to define requirements, acceptance criteria, test plans, and automation priorities.
- Support User Acceptance Testing for major projects such as new partner and client integrations.
- Review and execute manual test cases in test management tooling and incorporate suitable scenarios into automated regression coverage.
- Use monitoring signals, incident reviews, and customer feedback to identify quality improvements.
- Improve quality processes, documentation, team workflows, and repeatable testing practices.
- Use AI to accelerate test development and maintenance and share effective approaches with the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of QA experience testing SaaS or cloud applications, with a strong understanding of the full software development life cycle.
- 2+ years of hands-on test automation framework experience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools, including end-to-end test suite development and maintenance.
- Strong TypeScript and/or Go experience.
- Experience testing both UI and API layers, including API validation with tools such as Postman.
- Experience with test architecture and scalable design patterns such as Page Object Model, data factories, and separation of concerns.
- An automation-first track record with reliable automated coverage integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Agile fluency, comfort with rapid release cycles, and familiarity with test management platforms such as Allure TestOps.
- Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases is preferred.
- Experience building AI agents or applications that improve testing speed is preferred.
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, banking, insurance, or other financial services environments is preferred.
- Initiative, independent judgment, and the ability to communicate the business impact of test gaps and quality decisions.
