Responsibilities
- Own and administer the Okta environment, including custom authorization servers, adaptive MFA, and conditional access policies.
- Design and maintain joiner-mover-leaver workflows using Okta Workflows, SCIM, or custom scripts.
- Implement and standardize SSO integrations using SAML 2.0, OIDC, and OAuth 2.0.
- Design, audit, and refine RBAC and ABAC models across enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Monitor and remediate unauthorized data sharing, public file exposure, and shadow IT API integrations.
- Lead quarterly user access reviews and provide evidence for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance.
- Use SSPM tools or native security centers to audit and harden SaaS configurations.
- Analyze Okta and SaaS audit logs for anomalous behavior and collaborate with the SOC team on SIEM ingestion and alerting.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of dedicated experience in security engineering, IAM, or systems engineering with a heavy security focus.
- Strong engineering-level knowledge of Okta; Okta Certified Administrator or Certified Consultant certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience implementing data governance, data loss prevention, and zero-trust access models.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM.
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for security automation and API integrations.
- Experience querying Splunk, ELK, SQL, or cloud-native SIEM logs to investigate identity-related security incidents.
