Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient AWS platforms.
- Build and manage secure, reusable Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Deploy and operate containerized applications on Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
- Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines and embed DevSecOps practices, including automated security scanning, IAM governance, and secrets management.
- Improve platform reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and cloud cost management.
- Manage Kubernetes environments, including Helm, ingress controllers, node groups, RBAC, and application scaling strategies.
- Partner with stakeholders and teams to understand needs, remove impediments, and deliver value to clients and end users.
- Promote team effectiveness, continuous improvement, experimentation, inclusivity, psychological safety, and collaboration.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and SQS/SNS.
- Proven Terraform expertise, including modular architectures, workspace management, custom providers, and CI/CD integration.
- Practical experience operating Kubernetes and EKS environments, including Helm, ingress controllers, node groups, RBAC, and scaling strategies.
- Advanced CI/CD and automation experience with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash and solid experience managing Linux environments such as Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, or RHEL.
- Expertise in configuration management, networking, security, and observability using tools including Ansible, Route 53, ALB/NLB, Security Groups, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Preferred AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
- Preferred experience with ArgoCD, Istio service mesh, and SRE principles including error budgets, SLIs, SLOs, and toil reduction.
- Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders and foster high-performing, collaborative teams.
