Responsibilities
- Design and implement observability solutions using Grafana, Site24x7, Azure Monitor, and related tools.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and metrics for infrastructure, applications, and services across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Define SLIs and SLOs with cross-functional teams and improve system reliability and performance.
- Lead improvements to telemetry, logging, and tracing across distributed systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex real-time issues using Windows/Linux internals and cloud infrastructure expertise.
- Drive monitoring, incident response, and post-mortem best practices.
- Stay current with observability and resilience engineering trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in observability, monitoring, or site reliability engineering.
- Expert-level Grafana proficiency, including custom dashboards, integrations, and alerting.
- Hands-on experience with Site24x7, Azure Monitor, and other observability platforms.
- Strong understanding of Azure Cloud architecture, services, and deployment models.
- Deep knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including performance tuning and diagnostics.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Excellent communication and technical team leadership skills, including mentoring experience.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Azure or related technology certifications are preferred.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, ELK stack, or similar tools is preferred.
- Background in resilience engineering or incident management frameworks is preferred.
