Base Salary
$93k - $138k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and scale distributed data services including Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Solr, Redis, and OpenSearch.
- Build, enhance, monitor, and support infrastructure across on-premises environments and AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Apply patches, perform maintenance, and help ensure systems remain secure and compliant with internal standards.
- Participate in incident response, on-call support, capacity planning, performance tuning, and health assessments.
- Create operational procedures, change plans, incident reports, and other documentation.
- Contribute to automation and reliability improvements, support service requests, and help meet SLA/OLA commitments.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing and training activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience supporting large-scale enterprise systems in Information Technology.
- 2+ years operating or supporting distributed data platforms such as Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Solr, Redis, or OpenSearch.
- 2+ years working with Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation and configuration tools.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes; ITIL certification is a plus.
- Experience with Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, New Relic, or similar observability tools is a plus.
