Base Salary
$245k - $335k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture for highly resilient message delivery across web, email, SMS, push notifications, messaging, AdTech, and inbound channels.
- Lead governance, compliance, safety protocols, and cybersecurity considerations for enterprise message delivery.
- Drive migration from legacy messaging systems to a unified, vendor-agnostic Enterprise Message Delivery platform.
- Scale orchestration for enterprise traffic, AdTech integrations, and B2B2C partner messaging.
- Build workflow automations and establish engineering, coding, and design standards.
- Contribute to vendor strategy and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Act as technical leader for Message Delivery, Orchestration, and Integration engineering teams.
- Mentor senior and lead individual contributors and guide engineers through complex technical challenges.
- Architect telemetry and analytics pipelines for real-time observability, predictive performance tuning, and delivery optimization.
- Share technical knowledge through code samples, blog posts, communications, and other materials.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
- At least 7 years of experience in enterprise architecture and design patterns.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and delivering platforms in cloud environments.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with LLM systems, including RAG or embeddings, prompt or plan tooling, and model governance.
- Preferred master’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred 10+ years of professional coding experience with languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred 8+ years of experience with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Preferred 5+ years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with networking protocols and third-party distributed systems integration.
- Preferred 5+ years mentoring senior engineers and driving professional development within technical teams.
- Preferred 2+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews and establishing coding and design standards.
- Expertise in strategically applying agentic AI coding tools is preferred.
