Base Salary
$179k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and deliver cloud-based solutions supporting real-time rewards redemptions and high-volume transaction activity.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams, including setting standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Modernize financial integrations, refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance and resilience.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to technology communities, evaluate emerging tools, and influence long-term technology strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years coding in multiple listed languages, 3+ years with databases, 3+ years with cloud technologies, and 4+ years contributing to open source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes cloud troubleshooting, AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots, observability, mentoring engineers, technical initiatives, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.
