Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for the Cloud Security Segmentation platform.
- Build Kubernetes-based control-plane services and cloud-native security platform features.
- Develop reliable, well-tested software with automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.
- Troubleshoot production issues across distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, product managers, and SRE teams.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and incident response.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development, testing, debugging, documentation, and code quality.
- Improve engineering processes through automation and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of Go, Java, Python, or C++.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience developing backend services or distributed applications.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native application development.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing.
- Basic understanding of Linux, TCP/IP networking, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes and container networking, Istio or Envoy, iptables or nftables, network namespaces, AWS, GCP, Azure, databases, messaging systems, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Zero Trust, workload identity, or micro-segmentation.
