Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, codes, tests, troubleshoots, and rolls out secure and stable software solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
- Builds high-quality features and services for a mission-critical real-time payments environment while considering upstream and downstream system implications.
- Participates in architecture reviews and code reviews and applies standards for clean code, automation, resiliency, security, and operational excellence.
- Uses and critically validates enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Analyzes large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making in secure, stable application development.
- Supports production readiness and operations, including incident response, post-incident reviews, observability, and runbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of formal experience or certification in software engineering concepts.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs securely.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred experience with Java, Spring Boot/Spring Core, REST APIs, downstream integrations, React, JUnit, MQ, Kafka, Redis, GemFire, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jira, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with distributed-system fundamentals, secure SDLC practices, vulnerability remediation, dependency hygiene, production services, and regulated financial or payments systems.
