Responsibilities
- Lead complex technology initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document software for projects and programs.
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for business and enterprise objectives.
- Develop engineering standards and companywide best practices.
- Make technical decisions and influence technology teams to deliver initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex issues.
- Lead projects or teams and provide peer mentoring.
- Develop and enhance mainframe software using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- Use mainframe utilities and debugging tools to support development and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Preferred technology-oriented B.E. or B.Tech degree or equivalent advanced degree.
- Preferred 4+ years of programming experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- Strong programming capability in COBOL, DB2, and CICS.
- Experience with mainframe utilities such as Sort, REXX, FileAid, Endevor/Changeman, and Easytrieve.
- Experience with debugging tools such as Debug, Xpediter, and Abend-Aid.
- Experience providing technical leadership on small to medium projects.
- Analytical, organizational, communication, proactive, and independent working skills.
