Responsibilities
- Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document software for projects and programs.
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions against business objectives and enterprise technology requirements.
- Develop and influence engineering standards and companywide best practices.
- Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues.
- Lead projects or teams and provide peer mentorship and technical leadership.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- At least 4 years of software development and enhancement experience.
- Strong programming capability in COBOL, DB2, and CICS.
- Experience with mainframe utilities including SORT, REXX, FileAid, Endevor/Changeman, and Easytrieve.
- Experience with debugging tools such as Debug, Xpediter, and Abend-Aid.
- Experience leading small- to medium-sized projects through technical leadership.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and independent-working skills.
- A technology-oriented B.E./B.Tech. degree or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
