Base Salary
$154k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize DSP algorithms for audio processing on embedded platforms.
- Develop firmware and software for earbuds, hearables, and hearing aid devices.
- Translate experimental algorithms into robust, real-time embedded solutions with research scientists.
- Integrate DSP modules with hardware and software stacks for wearable audio devices.
- Conduct performance analysis, debugging, and validation of embedded audio systems.
- Support prototyping and field testing of new features and product concepts.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, ML, and UX teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Document engineering processes and contribute to embedded audio development best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in embedded DSP development for audio applications.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and real-time embedded programming.
- Experience with audio signal processing algorithms such as filtering, noise reduction, and speech enhancement.
- Familiarity with embedded hardware platforms and development tools.
- Experience solving complex technical problems in cross-functional teams, demonstrated through shipped products or published findings.
- Preferred qualifications include audio hardware prototyping and testing, AR/VR or wearable technology experience, human-computer interaction, Bluetooth audio protocols, low-power embedded design, and experience with earbuds, hearables, or hearing aids.
