Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and architecture of complex frontend features and translate product requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop high-performance, production-ready React and Next.js applications with accurate UI implementations.
- Drive frontend performance optimization, monitoring, profiling, caching, lazy loading, and code-splitting initiatives.
- Build and maintain reusable component libraries, design systems, and utility functions.
- Ensure UI/UX technical feasibility while balancing visual quality, performance, and accessibility.
- Champion code quality, testing, accessibility, and maintainability best practices across the team.
- Lead adoption of AI-assisted development tools and establish team practices for their effective use.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to system design and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams on API contracts, data fetching, and deployment pipelines.
- Debug and optimize third-party libraries and evaluate frontend ecosystem trends and new frameworks.
Requirements
- Expert proficiency in React and TypeScript, including hooks, state management, and TypeScript best practices.
- Deep expertise in Next.js, including server-side rendering, incremental static regeneration, API routes, middleware, and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript, ES6+, async/await, functional programming, modern CSS, responsive design, and frontend build tools.
- Experience with scalable component architectures, design systems, state management solutions, micro-frontends, module federation, and reusable library design.
- Strong understanding of frontend performance metrics, profiling tools, monitoring, observability, and error tracking.
- Expertise with frontend testing frameworks and end-to-end testing, plus knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, accessibility, browser compatibility, and code quality tools.
- Working knowledge of Node.js and backend fundamentals, including API design, authentication, and server-side implications.
- Nice-to-have experience with headless CMS, GraphQL, SEO for SPA and Next.js applications, Storybook, design tokens, animation libraries, AI/LLM frontend integrations, WebViews, React Native, and AI-assisted development tools.
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a product development company.
