Responsibilities
- Own and maintain Google’s core Go libraries and toolchain integrations.
- Use AI to automate routine maintenance and help create a self-maintaining Go ecosystem within Google3.
- Curate and optimize internal Go packages and facilitate third-party imports and open-source migrations.
- Improve Go developer ergonomics, startup performance, and dependency management for CLI tools and agentic loop sidecars.
- Develop and maintain debugging, profiling, and monitoring tools for Go services and agents across Google’s infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- At least 2 years of software development experience in Go.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with data structures and algorithms, accessible technologies, core language libraries or compilers, and open-source software.
