Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate foundational platform software for vehicle controls boards, including drivers, operating systems, and middleware, from hardware bring-up through customer shipment.
- Design, develop, and deploy embedded software for power management, vehicle reset, occupancy detection, diagnostics, and over-the-air updates.
- Collaborate with hardware teams on system design, schematics, and hardware validation.
- Work with Charging, Body Controls, Infotainment, Vehicle Dynamics, and other cross-functional teams to meet application requirements.
- Debug embedded systems in real-world environments using diagnostics tooling.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of embedded software or firmware development experience, preferably with vertically integrated consumer products.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expert C programming skills and deep familiarity with real-time operating systems.
- Expertise in embedded software development and optimization, including multi-threaded and multi-core programming.
- Proficiency developing software for microcontrollers and performing hardware bring-up.
- Experience developing software for systems with live sensor inputs.
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, and other embedded diagnostics tools.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a fast-paced development environment.
- Experience with CAN, UDS, and DoIP is preferred.
- Experience with battery monitoring firmware and/or power electronics is preferred.
