Base Salary

$200k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

Own the scoping, design, development, and iteration of complete product modules in collaboration with customers.
Design and evolve architecture for agentic AI systems across conversational interfaces, web, terminal UIs, and vendor integrations.
Build MCP-style server endpoints and conversational interfaces that enable features to be driven by LLM agents.
Move pricing and business logic into backend services to preserve financial correctness.
Extend and maintain Pydantic-based pricing ontology models for SKUs, propositions, personas, and pricing structures.
Lead architectural reviews and establish standards for testing, observability, deployment, and performance monitoring.
Mentor peers, shape product strategy, and help establish engineering culture and best practices.
Perform root-cause analysis for production issues and maintain high standards for money-handling code.
Work within an AI-native software development lifecycle using agent-assisted code generation and automated review gates.

8+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of full product areas at startup or staff-level scope.
Deep backend expertise with production experience in FastAPI, Python, and MongoDB or a comparable stack.
Ability to design versioned APIs and independently ship React and TypeScript user interfaces.
Experience taking ambiguous customer problems to shipped features without a dedicated product manager.
Experience with B2B SaaS monetization concepts such as pricing models, packaging, quoting, or CPQ.
Experience building or integrating LLM-driven features, agent workflows, or MCP-like tooling servers.
Strong standards for correctness, particularly in financial logic.
Prior experience as an early employee or technical founder who shipped a 0-to-1 B2B product is preferred.
Familiarity with SOC 2, GDPR, or data residency constraints is preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
