Responsibilities
- Analyze application requirements, system limitations, protocols, dependencies, and risks to develop effective testing approaches.
- Develop test plans and detailed test cases from requirements and use cases, maintaining coverage as designs change.
- Design and develop automated test suites for functional, security, performance, and integration testing.
- Set up software and network test beds and execute scalable manual and automated test cycles.
- Report defects clearly, track them to resolution, and create test logs, reports, and system performance metrics.
- Support testing tools, processes, standard operating procedures, and knowledge transfer across stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot services during incident management and serve as a subject matter expert.
- Collaborate on scalable testing, continuous improvement, and appropriate automation techniques.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of automation testing experience.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eligible to work in Canada in a full-time capacity.
- Government of Canada Secret Level I clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience with performance, integration, and security testing.
- Experience with Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, and OWASP ZAP.
- Comfort with Azure cloud-based infrastructure solutions, Docker, and Ansible.
- Working knowledge of server-side web development with Java EE and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Linux/Unix-based systems.
- Strong collaboration, communication, analytical problem-solving, organization, autonomy, adaptability, and accountability.
