Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java technologies.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements and inception through production deployment.
- Work with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand and deliver requirements.
- Develop scalable, stable, and high-quality functionality across multiple applications.
- Use automated testing and software engineering best practices, including Test-Driven Development.
- Identify process improvements and own changes throughout the development and release lifecycle.
- Collaborate independently and effectively with geographically distributed teams while managing multiple priorities and timelines.
Requirements
- Require 7+ years of professional experience in Java application development.
- Require strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring.
- Require experience with automated testing frameworks and tools such as JUnit, JBehave, Cucumber, and Concordion.
- Require knowledge of relational databases such as DB2 or Sybase.
- Require working knowledge of Git or Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Unix.
- Require understanding of SDLC methodologies and a record of delivering high-quality solutions.
- Require strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, independent-working, and client-service skills.
- Preferred experience includes TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, Agile environments, financial services or capital markets, full-stack development, and practical Test-Driven Development experience.
