Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, Terragrunt, and reusable infrastructure modules.
- Build and support Kubernetes platforms using Amazon EKS, Google Kubernetes Engine, Helm, Argo CD, and service mesh technologies.
- Develop and improve CI/CD workflows using GitLab CI/CD and deployment automation.
- Lead migrations from legacy infrastructure and applications to modern cloud-native architectures.
- Automate cloud provisioning, access controls, networking, secrets management, platform upgrades, and infrastructure lifecycle operations.
- Support cloud networking, including load balancing, DNS, ingress, and service discovery.
- Implement cloud IAM, workload identity, role-based access control, Teleport, and centralized secrets management.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, operating system, application, and deployment issues.
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams on governance, encryption, access control, vulnerability management, and audit requirements.
- Lead technical initiatives, create designs and operational documentation, review infrastructure code, and mentor engineers.
- Participate in production support and incident response, including root cause analysis and remediation.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional engineering experience, including three or more years focused on cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and working knowledge of multi-cloud infrastructure.
- Production experience with Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code framework.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms and automated infrastructure delivery.
- Experience using Helm and operating Kubernetes-based platforms in production.
- Experience migrating legacy, manually managed, or traditional data center workloads to cloud or cloud-native platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, encryption, secrets management, observability, and infrastructure security.
- Experience supporting production services with reliability, availability, performance, and operational requirements.
- Ability to independently lead technical projects, troubleshoot complex distributed systems, and drive work through production validation.
- Experience reviewing technical designs and mentoring engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred experience includes Terragrunt, GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD, Teleport, Linkerd, cloud landing zones, governance controls, container migration, cost optimization, disaster recovery, regulated environments, TypeScript, or Go.
