Base Salary
$38k - $64k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support rapid prototype development using AI tools and AI frameworks.
- Build lightweight front ends and back ends that allow stakeholders to interact with prototypes.
- Apply responsible LLM usage, prompt design, and grounding patterns using authoritative client data.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and technology partners to integrate, test, and demonstrate capabilities in real workflows.
- Potentially present learning or deliverables to leadership before the internship concludes.
Requirements
- Complete at least 30 college credit hours toward a bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to contract requirements.
- Preferred: interest, knowledge, or early experience using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or ChatGPT for software development.
- Preferred: familiarity with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
- Preferred: familiarity with GenAI/LLM tooling such as prompt frameworks, vector databases, Anthropic, OpenAI, or Model Context Protocol.
- Preferred: experience with Git or another version control system.
- Preferred: exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
Benefits
- Full-time, 10-week internship beginning in early June 2027.
- Hybrid schedule in Reston, Virginia, two days per week.
