Responsibilities
- Identify and scope high-impact opportunities to improve customer operations with machine learning.
- Lead the design and development of machine learning models using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and sequence-based architectures for query resolution and routing.
- Ship production machine learning solutions and measure their business and customer impact.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and best-practice guidance across the machine learning discipline.
- Shape technical strategy and collaborate with MLOps and backend engineers to improve the machine learning model lifecycle.
- Work within cross-functional product squads alongside product managers, data scientists, engineers, designers, researchers, and operations specialists.
Requirements
- Multiple years of experience leading the development and deployment of advanced machine learning models for real business problems, preferably in a fast-moving technology company.
- Experience developing and shipping deep learning, graph-based, and/or sequence-based ML architectures to production with measurable business impact.
- Extensive experience writing production Python and strong command of SQL.
- Willingness to learn Go, which is used in backend microservices.
- Experience owning machine learning solutions end to end, from identifying business problems through production impact.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, communicate machine learning concepts to non-specialists, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred experience in customer operations, capacity planning, forecasting, regulated institutions, critical production code, or microservices.
