Responsibilities
- Build and maintain frontend and Java build systems, including dependency management, caching, workspaces, monorepos, and reproducible artifact publishing.
- Design and operate CI/CD pipelines in Harness and GitHub Actions for testing, security scanning, deployment, release tracking, and automated rollback.
- Create reusable pipeline templates and quality and security gates for application teams.
- Write and maintain Terraform modules and manage state, versioning, policy checks, and configuration drift for AWS infrastructure.
- Build and run Docker and ECS/EKS container platforms and integrate Vault or CyberArk secrets management.
- Harden and automate Linux servers and container images and write Shell and Python scripts for operational automation and troubleshooting.
- Support migration of batch jobs and file transfers to the target platform.
- Collaborate with SRE on logging, metrics, alerting, troubleshooting, runbooks, and engineering standards.
- Use AI assistants such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate development of pipelines, Terraform, and scripts with review.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, or platform engineering roles.
- Practical experience with npm and pnpm for React/TypeScript projects and strong experience with Maven and Gradle for Java builds.
- Production experience writing Terraform modules and managing Terraform state for AWS.
- Hands-on AWS experience across compute, networking, IAM, containers, and managed services.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Harness and/or GitHub Actions; Jenkins experience is a plus.
- Strong Linux administration, hardening, and Bash/Python scripting skills.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/ECS/EKS, Git, branching strategies, and pull-request workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include regulated financial-services experience; Vault or CyberArk; SonarQube, Black Duck, or Checkmarx; Liquibase or Flyway; AWS DevOps Engineer or SysOps Administrator certification; and/or HashiCorp Terraform certification.
