Base Salary
$110k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and technical strategy for complex distributed applications and data platforms supporting TAX360 and the Tax Data Hub.
- Translate business and tax-domain capabilities into scalable architectures and make trade-offs across performance, scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, developer productivity, and cost.
- Drive architectural decisions across services, applications, APIs, data platforms, workflow engines, compute platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Establish reusable technology patterns that enable multiple teams and tax domains to build capabilities consistently.
- Guide engineering teams from architecture and experimentation through implementation, production readiness, and long-term platform evolution.
- Build a secure, scalable, governed technology ecosystem with strong data visibility, auditability, and workflow capabilities.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, Spark, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services including Dataproc, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and Vertex AI.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of data lakes, data lakehouses, data warehousing, ETL, Kappa and Lambda data-processing concepts, and data modeling.
- Practical experience with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG architectures, and agentic AI systems.
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering, including at least four years on GCP.
- Either a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus five years of relevant experience, or seven years of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Google Professional certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices is preferred.
