Responsibilities
- Build new capabilities for Kinaxis’s agentic AI platform, including tools that AI agents use to complete work.
- Develop software across design, prototypes, demos, and production code with a mentor and experienced software engineers.
- Evaluate agent behavior in real-world scenarios, identify failures, and help determine improvements.
- Work across platform engineering, applied AI, and product development in an early-stage, rapidly changing codebase.
- Document significant technical decisions, explain design choices, and demo completed work to the team and executives.
Requirements
- Completed third year of or recently graduated from a program in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in building and shipping software through coursework, previous work terms, personal projects, research, or open-source contributions.
- Demonstrated interest in AI agents and how they are built, including possible experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or agent tools.
- Comfort writing code in Python or a comparable language and working with Git and GitHub.
- Clear written communication and comfort working through ambiguous problems without established solutions.
- Preferred: experience building or consuming APIs, exposure to cloud platforms, containers, distributed services, authentication, identity, access control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, feature flags, progressive delivery, LLM applications, RAG, prompt engineering, agentic frameworks, observability, front-end, CLI, developer tooling, knowledge graphs, semantic modeling, supply chain systems, open source, research, competitions, or hackathons.
