Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, availability, and system performance.
- Develop monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for proactive incident detection.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to improve reliability, security, performance, and deployment workflows.
- Own infrastructure solutions from design through production and contribute to platform architecture.
- Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
- Provide technical expertise to Customer Support teams during complex production issues.
- Automate manual operational processes and improve engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- Hands-on production experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
- Required production experience with AWS; experience with other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Amazon EKS.
- Hands-on production experience with HashiCorp Vault.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and/or Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with Git and GitLab.
- Scripting skills using Bash and Python; Groovy experience for Jenkins Pipelines is beneficial.
- Experience with monitoring, metrics, logging, and audit solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and AWS CloudTrail.
- Ability to independently own infrastructure initiatives and deliver solutions from design to production with minimal supervision.
- Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English proficiency.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Entra ID (SSO), Java-based applications, distributed SQL and NoSQL databases, NGINX, Kafka, CDN technologies, DDoS protection, and high-availability production environments.
